Saying Farewell to our Golden Girl

    my "Bertie" Robin's first daughter, my sweet natured snuggle bug--she gave us four Bred-By Exhibitor Champions in two litters. Not only did she pass her exceptionally Sensible Temperament to her kids, they also inherit her Expressive Eyes, and Movement.  She had a lovely front assembly possessing a long, correct upper arm--a rare quality.  We are so proud of this girl and what she has produced for us, whether in the show ring, or in pet homes--she carried our banner and held it high,  "Type with Intelligence!"-- her puppies have personality plus and their owners rave about them. 

We are so sad to move her to this section of our site.  It was a big decision, to place her in a retirement home, so that we could keep puppies from without leaving anyone out... Destined to be our favorite couch tater for all time, we allowed her to go to Alaska to share kisses and the couch with an older couple from Fairbanks.  Her flight was harried at its single layover, to the tune of 5 hours and upon finally arriving at her destination, she was turned loose in the airport.  She was chased by airport police, and our girl used those *very* able legs for the last time.  Tragically, she was struck by a speeding car and killed instantly.  She was "retired" for less than 2 hours after her flight touched down.

Bertie, we are SO sorry.  I know your new owners were equally abashed but nothing will ever replace you, sweet girl, in our hearts.  Thank you for these last wonderful babies.  They are each dear to me and I will cry my eyes out when they go.  My sweet sweet Bertie... kiss the Coda-motor for me.  I will see you both Somewhere over the Rainbow...
